A GRADE

Mixed A Grade (Tuesday): For fit and experienced players who have a clear and logical understanding of team tactics and strategy. Probably the highest standard of social netball in London. You should be prepared to come to the pub afterwards.

Ladies A Grade (Wednesday): Similar to Mixed A grade although a bit less physical than Mixed. You should be fit and experienced and fully aware of the rules of the game.

B GRADE

Ladies B Grade (Mon, Weds, Thurs): For players who are fit and have played a fair bit previously. You should know most of the rules and have an average grasp of playing netball strategically as a team.

Ladies Upper Versatility (Mon): Generally as above although Versatility is great for developing your all round game as you play every position on court.

Mixed B Grade (Tuesday, Thurs): As above, you will also come to the pub after each game!

C GRADE

Ladies (Mon, Thurs): Our lowest level of netball although this doesn't mean easy. The standard for our current C Grade league is a little higher than beginners. This is for players who are returning to netball after a break, new players with a little experience picking up the game or players who just want a bit of a run around without it being too competitive. You should have a basic understanding of the rules.

Ladies Lower Versatility (Mon): Generally as above although Versatility is great for developing your all round game as you play every position on court. It’s therefore a really great game for beginners that are willing to put the effort in to learn a new game.

BEGINNERS

Highbury Groovers: Playnetball.com don’t offer training or lessons for complete beginners but our friends at the Highbury Groovers do willingly accomodate newbies! They offer a really fun training runaround each Wednesday at the Winton School in Kings Cross for just £5 per session regardless of your experience. It’s a fantastic way to learn about the basics of the game like passing, footwork, obstruction, contact and more. It’s also really really fun. They inevitably go to the pub afterwards (boys shower, girls don’t) and then onto karaoke. If Timeout ever reviewed it, they’d class it as one of London’s hidden gems.
